Abilene’s Better Business Bureau Torch Award program began in 1998 and is open to all for-profit businesses located in the 13-county service area. To qualify for the award, companies must be in business, locally, for at least one year and be in good standing with the BBB. Nominated businesses are judged on four criteria including employee involvement, customer service, communication practices and community reputation.
